The C.W. Hellen Ranches partnership offers limited package hunts and full-season hunting leases on our La Mota Ranch and El Ebanito Ranch divisions in Jim Hogg County, Texas via the family owned El Ebanito Hunting Company.

These popular full-season leases on our game-rich properties are highly sought after by both in-state and out-of-state trophy whitetail deer and quail hunting sportsmen. Weekend and short term package hunts are enjoyed by bow hunting groups stalking the ranch's numerous native javelinas and feral hogs. Our native grass pastures are very popular with Bobwhite quail hunting guides and their clients during the late-season South Texas bird hunt.

We attribute the quality and richness of our wildlife and grazing resources to the unique diversity of our ecosystem that includes the Gulf Coast Mesquite Savannah of our northern most pastures and the Tamaulipan Thorn Scrub of the southern parts of our ranch divisions.

115 years of loving, hands-on, Hellen family care of this old rancho centered within the "Last Great Habitat" of Deep South Texas, has earned our family many wildlife and conservation awards. Most recently, Regional Conservationist of the Year from the Natural Resources Conservation Service of U.S.D.A., and the 2010-2011 Land Stewardship Award from the Texas Section of the National Wildlife Society.
